Aborigine Indigenous Bahing people are among one of the Kirat ethnic. Their traditional homeland spans from the hilly terrains of eastern & south western part of Okhaldhunga and southern Solukhumbu district. They have their own distinct cultural identity, traditional homeland, traditional rites and customs, social structure, and written and unwritten history. BAHING KIRAT MULUKHIM (BKM) is a representative organization of Bahing Indigenous Peoples. BKM is established with the aim of protecting and promoting rights of Aborigne Indigenous Bahing community along with its language, culture and assisting them in overall development process. It has been registered in the Kathmandu district administration office on 11th July, 2004 under the Social Welfare Act, 2034 of Nepal government and also been affiliated with Social Welfare Council. Similarly, it has been affiliated with Federation of Indigenous Kirat Association (FIKA) and NGO Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities(NGO-FONIN). These peoples are first people in Kirat land. According to the Kirats’ Calender there has been 5070 years till now.

Bahing Kirat Mulukhim has extended 8 District Branch at Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Sunsari, Morang, Ilam, Shangkhuwasava, Jhapa & Khotang. A long with 18 village committees are in the Ward levels. Similarly foreign branch are UK, South Korea & Hong Kong. Organization has Three sister wings which is Bahing Kirat Student Union, Bahing Kirat Youth Union and Department of Bahing Kirat Women.
